Aventra’s carbon footprint 2024: Transparency as the foundation of our climate action
In 2025, we calculated our carbon footprint based on our 2024 operational data. The assessment covers Scopes 1–3 and was carried out in accordance with the GHG Protocol, providing a comprehensive view of our climate impact across the entire value chain.
This work strengthens the foundation of our sustainability efforts and supports informed, data-driven decision-making.

For context, one ton of CO₂e corresponds to approximately 7,000 kilometers driven by car, and the average annual carbon footprint of a Finnish resident is around 10 tons of CO₂e.
What do the results tell us?
Most of our emissions originate from the value chain, particularly from purchased goods and services. Emissions from our own operations represent only a small share of the total, reflecting the nature of our business and the limited energy intensity of our operations.
This breakdown gives us a clear direction forward. The greatest opportunities for reducing emissions lie in procurement, supplier collaboration, logistics, and product life-cycle choices.
